And Now for Something Totally Different I was looking back through my phone pics catalog this morning and stumbled across these shots taken from some flight somewhere. If the date on them is correct then they’re from Australia. But who knows. As a geologist, I’m always looking out the window and taking pictures of the earth. They usually look like crap because of clouds, glare, fingerprints, etc. Lynn said she might want some abstract photos for a bathroom, so here’s my take on aerial geology abstractions.

Way Out West Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, Where the deer and the antelope play, Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, And the skies are not cloudy all day.
